
Jennifer began her studies in the field of health in 1999, completing an 800 hour
massage therapy program at Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Syracuse,
NY. She utilized her massage training in various treatment settings on a variety of
clients, from people living a sedentary lifestyle with repetitive stress injuries to world
class athletes in need of rehabilitation and maintenance. She continued her education
earning an associates degree from Grossmont College in San Diego and then a
Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in
Boulder, Colorado. She is a certified massage therapist in the state of Colorado and a
certified diplomat in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). This includes certification in both
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, as, well as, certification in Clean Needle
Technique.
Jennifer's training also includes adjunct therapies such as, electro-acupuncture,
moxibustion, NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association), cupping,
guasha, auriculotherapy, Tui Na, Shiatzu, Myofascial Release, dietary and lifestyle
changes. Jennifer has over 3,100 hours of training in Oriental Medicine.
Because Chinese Medicine holds a philosophy of reviewing the body & its systems as a
“whole”, Jennifer likes to consider herself a “general practitioner” with the ability to
address a number of imbalances within the body. Jennifer does however, hold
specialties in Sport's Medicine & athletic enhancement, musculoskeletal issues,
Obstetrics & Gynecology, Infertility, women's health and Herbal medicine. Jennifer has
a gentle touch and compassionate approach when treating her patients. She
understands the body is designed to heal itself, provided the body has the proper
support to do its job.
Jennifer is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado and American
Acupuncture Council.
